Switch your PSP buttons using the recovery menu.

The Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) can use custom firmware to enable and disable many different features. Included is the ability to switch the main button (X) with an alternative button (O). This is not mandatory, but is a matter of preference. All you need to do is boot into your PSP's recovery menu.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold the "Power" button up on your PSP until the PSP completely shuts down. Hold the "R" trigger and turn the PSP back on. You will be presented with the recovery menu.

    • 2

Select "Registry Hacks" then "Button Assign" until it reads "O." Your PSP now recognizes the "O" button as the main button.

    • 3

Select "Back" and "Exit" to reboot the PSP.
