How to Do Ancient Greek Hairstyles

This can be done by choosing a general style and adding as many Greek touches as possible, such as curls that frame the face or threading ribbon through the finished style.

Things You'll Need

• Brush
• Hair gel
• Comb
• Bobby pins
• Black hair ties
• 1/2 inch barreled curling iron
• Preferred accessories (gold-wire ribbon, leaves, etc.)

Instructions

1. Brush your hair to remove any tangles that may make styling difficult.

2. Rub a quarter-sized amount of hair gel through your hair and use a comb to distribute it evenly.

3. Decide which kind of Greek hairstyle you'd like to create. Adult women most often wore their hair up. For a more casual style, a low braid or ponytail is appropriate. For a fancier Greek hairstyle, pile your hair on top of your head and secure it with bobby pins or create a high bun.

4. Pull some pieces of hair from your hair style in the very front, framing your face. Spiral curl these pieces with a curling iron with a half-inch barrel.

5. Add any extra accessories that you'd like to the style, such as threading a piece of gold-wire ribbon through your braid or over the top of your head. You can also use bobby pins to secure smaller embellishments, such as leaves, to the sides of the head.
