Floral bouquets are a traditional part of weddings. A wrapped bouquet is a popular style in which the stems of the flowers are wrapped in ribbon and then carried by the bride or bridesmaid holding the flowers around the stems. Making your own wrapped bouquets will save you money and enable you to customize the bouquet to your tastes and color scheme.

Instructions

    • 1

Bunch the main flowers you will yse in your bouquet in your hand. Choose flowers that are beautiful all on their own, are sturdy and resilent, and coordinate with your wedding colors. Insert baby's breath and fillers as you see fit. Try to alternate heights to create depth and variety within the arrangement.

    • 2

Wrap a rubber band around the center of the bunched stems. Cut the ends of all the stems off evenly to be no more than 10 inches long. Cut the ends at an angle to help the flowers absorb water.

    • 3

Wrap floral tape around the stems starting 1 inch above the base of the stems and working upward. Wrap in a diagonal or slanted manner, overlapping layers so the stems are completely covered.

    • 4

Hot glue the end of a piece of satin ribbon to the stems just below the bulb of the flowers. Wrap the ribbon all the way around the stems moving downward in a slanted diagonal fashion. Glue the remaining end on the ribbon to the floral tape covered stems at the base of the bouquet.

    • 5

Add ribbon bows, rhinestones and other embellishments for an additional sparkle. Store in a cool place, such as a refrigerator, while wrapped in damp paper towels.

Tips & Warnings
