How to Deflate an Ozark Trail Airbed
Ozark Trail airbeds are distributed exclusively by Wal-Mart, and are inexpensive temporary sleeping solutions for camping trips and guests. The airbeds are inflated by a battery-operated or electric pump, and are quickly deflated for storage, but the beds require special care when deflating to ensure that they fold to their smallest size. Beds that are improperly deflated when folded also place excessive pressure on the bed's seams, which can lead to leaks and damage.

1
Move the Ozark Trail airbed to an open location, such as a grassy area of your camping lot or onto a carpeted floor. Inspect the area before putting it down to ensure that there are no protrusions, rocks, sticks or corners that can snag or puncture the surface of the airbed.
-
2
Remove any sheets or mattress covers on the airbed and place them aside. Open the valve on the end of the airbed by turning it counterclockwise and gently pulling it away from the bed; you should feel air rush out of the bed and see the bed begin to deflate.

3
Place your hand on the top of the mattress, near the middle, to weigh it down and expedite the removal of the air until you feel your hand lying on the hard surface of the ground or floor.
-
4
Attach the electric or battery-operated pump into the valve and turn it to its reverse setting to suck out the air. Allow the pump to pull the air from the bed as you walk around the bed and kneel on the far edge of the mattress and walk on your knees to remove air pockets.
-
5
Remove the pump when the bed is completely deflated and the pump is no longer removing air. Fold the airbed and roll it up according to your user's manual. Place it in an air mattress storage bag or cloth sack.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not have a reversible pump, simply deflate the airbed by opening the valve and walking on the mattress with your knees until most of the air is removed.
These instructions are complete for most Ozark Trail airbed models. Refer to your user's manual for instructions on your particular model.

with the airbeds i've owned, as soon as the valve is unscrewed and removed, as instructed above, the air bed will always leak. i would suggest deflating using the same precedure as inflating, only put the pump on suck.
