How to Embellish Clothes in High Fashion
You can embellish anything--from casual garb to party clothes to office attire. Trim clothing you already own. Start with plain garments like denim jeans and jackets, T-shirts, sweats, simple black dresses and basic one-color skirts and use these garments as the canvas for your creativity. Sew beads and sequins to any garment you wish or add lace or ribbons to anything from a scarf to a robe.

Cut flowers from flower-patterned fabric and sew or glue them onto your clothes. It's the perfect springtime addition to a jacket, T-shirt or headband.

Cover a stain with an appliqué or with a group of sequins or decorative buttons, as you would use a brooch.

Patch a hole with a favorite scrap of vintage fabric or with a woven or braided section of colorful ribbons.
