How to Make Purses Out of Neck Ties
Old neckties may seem useless, but they actually make great material for many different crafts and fashion accessories. One such accessory is a necktie purse. Necktie purses are easy to make and a great way to reuse old neckties. In addition to this, the neckties lend a great dynamic style to the purse. With common crafting supplies and basic sewing skills, anybody can turn seemingly useless old ties into a stylish necktie purse. Does this Spark an idea?

Lay the first tie flat on the table with the wide end toward the left and the thin end facing the right.

Lay the second tie down on the table directly underneath the first tie, with the thin side facing left and the wide side facing right.

Lay three more ties directly underneath the first two ties in the same manner, alternating which way the wide end faces.

Sew the ties together along the long sides in the same order in which they were laid on the table. Fold the ties in half (right sides together), bringing the pointed edges together

Sew two straight edges (perpendicular to the fold) and turn the purse right side out.

Use the sixth tie (after removing widest end with scissors) to sew one end of it to each side of the purse to form the handle.

Sew one metal clasp to the middle of the inside of each open edge of the purse.
