If you think that calculating your yearly taxes is difficult, imagine how difficult it is calculating taxes on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Thankfully, there are several websites out there that can help you calculate payroll deductions online on your computer.

Instructions

    • 1

Search for a website with a paycheck calculator and go the calculator page. Make sure the calculator is capable of calculating Kentucky-specific payroll deductions. Such websites include Bankrate.com, Paycheckcity.com and Payroll-taxes.com.

    • 2

Select the state of Kentucky as your place of residence, and then select whether or not you are calculating payroll deductions at a regular or exempt tax rate as per Kentucky tax rules.

    • 3

Enter the salary, pay frequency and the federal allowances you are using to calculate your payroll. Then enter the appropriate figures in any fields that apply to your specific situation, including additional withholding, local tax rate or Kentucky state license fee percentage.

    • 4

Select "calculate" and all Kentucky state payroll deductions and taxes for the information you entered will be listed on the ensuing page. The resulting "take-home-pay" figure will also be listed after all of your deductions.
