Instructions

    • 1

Remove the glass and any cardboard and papers from the picture frames. Set aside.

    • 2

Lay the empty frames in a row on your work surface so that they are about 5 inches apart. Cut four lengths of the book binding tape that measure 11 inches long.

    • 3

Start with the bottom frame and lay it upside down on the work surface. Stick one end of the tape 2 inches from the side edge at the top of the back of the frame. Wrap the tape all the way around the frame one time making sure to press the tape securely to the picture frame and line up the edges of the tape exactly, leaving a long end of the tape going up for the next frame.

    • 4

Take the long end of the tape and wrap it around the middle frame in the same position as the first frame. Bring the tape down to the back of the first frame. Stick the tape in between the frames to itself, making sure to line up the edges together exactly.

    • 5

Repeat with the other side of the first and middle frame.

    • 6

Repeat the process again, using the top edge of the middle frame and the bottom edge of the top frame.

    • 7

Replace the glass along with your pictures and hang the frames on the wall.

Tips & Warnings

  • You have two options when using book binding tape to connect your picture frames: choose a book binding tape that matches the frames or one that contrasts with the frames.

  • Use varying sizes of picture frames to make your wall treatment. Put a large frame on the bottom, a smaller one in the middle and the smallest one on the top.

  • Hold the tape as taut as possible when working with it. If you let the sticky sides of the tape touch each other, you may have to start over. Get someone to help you if you need an extra pair of hands.
