How to Open a Liftmaster Remote Keypad

Liftmaster remote keypads can be programmed to open your garage door.

Among the most used garage remote systems and openers in the United States, Liftmaster features remote keypads that allow you to open your garage from outside of your garage or within your house. You can program your keypad to open your Liftmaster by using the opening sequence code to control your garage opener. Programming and opening the door takes only seconds on your Liftmaster door and will be ready to use immediately.

Instructions

1. Press and release the "smart" button on your garage unit. This button is located on the back of the unit near the light lens.

2. Wait for the red indicator light to start flashing.

3. Return to your keypad. Lift the cover and enter your new passcode within 30 seconds of pressing the "smart" button.

4. Wait for the indicator light to blink to indicate the keypad programming was opened. Once the light stops blinking you can use the code to open your garage door on your keypad.
