How to Make an SWF File Into a URL Button

How to Make an SWF File Into a URL Button thumbnail
You can make URL buttons from HTML codes.

Small Web Format (SWF) files are animation video files that are commonly used with Adobe and Macromedia Flash programs. These files can be hosted by a variety of websites in different ways. One way to host your SWF file is by uploading it to a media uploading website and creating an HTML code for a URL link button. You can convert the file and upload it in minutes and have your URL button ready immediately.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to a media uploading website on the Internet (see References) and select "Browse" on the homepage.

    • 2

Allow the pop-up menu to appear and select your SWF file from your computer. The pop-up menu will be populated with your computer's library folders. Navigate through the folders to find your SWF file by clicking on a folder to open it.

    • 3

Click the file, click "Open" and select "Upload File" on the following page.

    • 4

Allow a few minutes for the file to upload. The URL button code will be listed under "URL." Copy this code and paste it onto your website to make the button on your page.
