List URL with MSN Bing

The Microsoft Network (MSN) recently launched its new Microsoft search engine service, Bing. Bing replaces MSN Live Search and is billed as a search innovation--a "decision engine." MSN Bing will find most public web pages according to the site's own URL listing feature. However, web pages may also be manually listed with the search engine. To add a web page to MSN's Bing search engine, navigate to the "Add URL" page and enter the web address.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open an Internet browser window.

    • 2

Navigate to the Bing "Add URL" feature (See Resources).

    • 3

Type the Captcha characters that appear in the graphic into the text input box. Requiring the user to type Captcha characters ensures that listings are not posted by automated methods.

    • 4

Type the URL to the web page to be listed.

    • 5

Click the "Submit URL" button. A notification page will appear that the URL has been submitted for indexing by the MSNBot.
