Fortunately, there are a few homemade coffee pot cleaning solutions that you can use to get your coffee pot looking brand new. Best of all, none of them require a mass of effort or a laundry list of expensive ingredients, just a few items from your cupboards and a little elbow grease should do the trick.       Wipe the surface of your coffee pot with a sponge wet with undiluted vinegar. Reader's Digest recommends adding salt to the sponge with vinegar on it to scrub persistent coffee stains. Rinse the coffee pot under a stream of cold water. This process should be adequate for mild surface stains.

      Lift mineral stains by bringing baking soda and vinegar to a boil in the pot. Reader's Digest recommends using a mixture of 1 cup vinegar and 4 tbsp. baking soda. You can also boil 1/4 cup of vinegar and 2 cups of water to remove tough, set-in coffee stains from your pots.

      Remove the coffee pot from its heat source. Let it cool and then rinse the interior of the pot thoroughly.

      Scour exterior stains from your coffee pot with a mixture of 1 qt. water and 1/4 cup baking soda. Rinse the coffee pot under a stream of cold water.
