Instructions

    • 1

Place a step stool next to the curtains where you will install the holdbacks. Place a tape measure at the top of the curtains and measure down to the bottom of the curtains to obtain the total length.

    • 2

      Separate the curtain into thirds.

    • 3

Place the tape measure at the bottom of the curtains and measure up 1/3 of the length. Using the above example this would be 20 inches from the bottom. Place a small pencil mark on the wall or window frame at the measurement.

    • 4

Place the holdback on the wall in the location of the pencil mark and pull the curtains around it and determine if you like the positioning. Move the holdback around until you find location that you like and mark it with a pencil mark. Erase the first pencil mark so that you do not get confused.

    • 5

Unwrap the curtains from the holdback and look at the base of the holdback for the screw holes. If you are hanging a hook holdback point the hook away from the window.

    • 6

Insert screws into the holdback base and secure them using a screwdriver

    • 7

Repeat the process on the opposite side of the window to install the other holdback.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some holdbacks do not have screw holes, in which case you will insert a single screw directly into the wall. Once the screw is inserted, position the hole on the back of the holdback onto the screw to attach it to the wall.
