Homemade Scalp Moisturizer

1
Pour the sage, thyme and rosemary into the glass jar. Pour the oil into the jar to completely cover the herbs. Stir the herbs into the oil. Cover the jar tightly to prevent air from seeping in or out.
-
2
Let the herbs steep in the oil for about three weeks. Shake the contents daily to encourage maximum extraction of the herb contents.

3
Line a strainer with a thin cotton cloth and place it into a bowl. Pour the oil into the strainer to separate it from the herbs. When most of the oil has been strained, gather the edges of the cloth and squeeze to release the oil in the herbs.
-
4
Pour the strained oil into a jar and store the jar in a cool, dry, dark place. You can use this stored mixture for about a year.
-
5
Pour a small amount of the hair oil into a shallow bowl. Part a small section of your hair, dip your fingers into the oil and apply it to the exposed scalp. Repeat this process until your scalp is covered with the oil. Put your fingers into your hair and massage your scalp for about 2 minutes. Leave the oil in for 30 minutes then wash it out with shampoo. The hair oil will leave your scalp moisturized and your hair soft.
