How to Get Wireless Internet at an Affordable Price
Because a wireless Internet connection does not require you to sit tethered to a specific cable, it enables you to move freely around your home, office building or wireless hot spot. Although there are varying speeds of Wi-Fi, it is possible to find an Internet connection at an affordable price. When signing up for Wi-Fi service take into consideration the more you pay--the faster the Internet connection.

1
Visit a local Wi-Fi hot spot. This might be a local library, coffee shop or hotel. This Internet connection is generally free, or you might be required to buy a cup of coffee to gain access.

2
Contact your local wireless Internet provider. Basic plans start off around $19.99 a month and then increase in price as the speed increases. Do note that you are going to pay more than the $19.99 due to taxes and other fees.

Connect a wireless router to your present DSL or cable modem, if you have one. There is no need to pay for an additional Internet connection as all you need to do is set up the router, plug an Ethernet cable into one of the "Out" ports on the modem, then insert the opposite end into the "In" port on the wireless router, then activate the router by typing in the "HTTP" address listed on the bottom of the router into the Internet browser and follow the activation prompts.
