How to Refinish Kitchen Hardware

Things You'll Need

• pH neutral dish soap
• Chamois
• Polish
• Screwdriver
• Soft-bristled brush

Instructions

1. Remove the kitchen hardware from cabinets and drawers with a screwdriver.

2. Soak the kitchen hardware in a mixture of warm water and pH neutral dish soap for 30 minutes to loosen grime from the hardware's surface.

3. Scrub the hardware clean with a soft-bristled brush. Rinse the hardware and allow it to dry.

4. Wipe a coat of the appropriate polish onto the hardware with a chamois. Buff the kitchen hardware until the polish has been rubbed smooth and the hardware has a luster.

5. Re-install the hardware cabinet doors and drawers using the screwdriver.
