How to Install a JVC CD Player in Your Car
JVC makes a wide range of consumer audio and video equipment for your car or truck. The CD players available are separated into two categories: single and double-DIN stereo units. The single-DIN sizing (2" x 7") is most commonly used in cars and trucks that have single-disc CD players as well as MP3 units. Besides some common tools found around the home, all you will need to install a JVC CD player is a wiring harness adapter and the kit itself.
Things You'll Need
- Adjustable wrench (or pliers)
- JVC CD player (with installation sleeve and trim plate)
- Flat head screwdriver
- Wiring harness adapter

1
Lift the hood of your vehicle and disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. Use a wrench to loosen the cable's clamp then remove the cable from the negative terminal.

Place the installation sleeve (included with the unit) inside your vehicle's stereo mounting dock. Slide the sleeve into the slot and bend the metal tabs downward with a flat head screwdriver. The tabs hold the sleeve in place within the dock.
