How to Do Emo Hairstyles With Curly Hair
Emo describes a type of lifestyle that was influenced by a genre of music known as "emo" and it includes such bands as My Chemical Romance, Fallout Boy, Dashboard Confessional, and Panic! At the Disco. These bands are a mix of hard rock and punk, and the fashion of this type of lifestyle is a mix between rocker and goth, and the hairstyles share a few things in common. First the bangs are swept to the side at a very dramatic angle, and the hair is dyed jet black, blonde, or a mixture of dramatic colors. Things You'll Need
- Extreme hold hair gel
- Hair dryer
- Paddle brush
- Comb
- Flat iron
- Hair spray

Work the extreme hold hair gel through your hair vigorously at least eight hours after you wash your hair. The natural oils in your hair will help you style your hair more easily.

Use the hair dryer to dry your hair as straight as possible by holding out a chunk of hair with the hair brush. Dry your hair thoroughly.

Use the flat iron to straighten your curly hair. Use a name brand flat iron to achieve the best results.

Use the comb to make a dramatic zig zag part on the top of your head and sweep all of your bangs to one side of your head.

Spray your hair down with a flexible hair spray to hold it in place.

Tips & Warnings
Dye your hair dramatic colors and add a colorful headband for dramatic effect. You can also knot up the lower layers of your hair to fold the top layer of hair on top to add body to your emo style.
