How to Obtain a Filed Power of Attorney Paper
Most state laws do not require that a power of attorney be filed with a public office. However, some states at least permit such a filing at the option of the person who prepares and executes a power of attorney. If you live in a state that maintains filed powers of attorney, specific procedures exist through which you can obtain a copy of that instrument.

You can obtain the location through the county government website. Most registers or recorders of deeds maintain offices in their county courthouses or county administrative services buildings.
