1
Use antibiotics to treat a cyst. Antibiotics help destroy the bacteria that triggers acne cysts. Obtain a prescription from your family physician or a dermatologist. Take the medication as directed.
-
2
Regularly use an antibacterial skin cleanser. Choose both facial cleansers and body washes that include an antibacterial. Bacteria can seep into your pores, which may trigger or worsen an existing cyst.

3
Keep hands away from your face. Touching commonly touched items such as telephones and door knobs make hands a breeding ground for bacteria. Regulary wash your hands and keep them off your face to avoid complications while treating a cyst.
-
4
Use tea tree oil. Available from health food stores and pharmacies, tea tree oil is a natural anti-fungal and antibacterial. Dab a few drops on a cotton swab and apply the oil to acne cysts. Use as directed.

Apply acne medications to help heal a cyst. Prescription and OTC medications with benzoyl peroxide and retinol help heal acne cysts. Ask your doctor for advice on these acne products.
