Skateboarding has been a popular outdoor activity for many years, and along with skateboarding comes a particular style of dress and appearance. Specific brands of clothes and footwear such as Vans and Airwalks are popular items among skateboarders, as well as tattoos, and funky haircuts. Though all skateboarders are different, the variety of boards and equipment that are available will suit the occasional rider, as well as the die-hard skateboard fanatic. If you're a skateboard enthusiast, and would like to make money off of your favorite pastime, becoming a skateboard distributor may be a dream job for you.

Instructions

    • 1

Obtain the most skateboarding equipment that you can afford. You may decide to make your own custom boards and apparel if you know how, or purchase popular brands from other distributors. You'll want to find the cheapest distributor, perhaps one that offers deals for bulk purchases. This way you'll be able to re-sell the merchandise and make a profit. You'll need to have a variety of popular decks, wheels, bearings, helmets and safety equipment, grip tape, and clothing.

    • 2

Set up a website to advertise your services. You can create one on your own or hire a web designer to make one for you. List your website on popular search engines such as Google or Yahoo, so that when somebody searches for a skateboard distributor, your site will come up.

    • 3

Advertise locally at skate parks, near boardwalks, and the local skating rink. Print out flyers, and business cards to place at these locations to attract customers to your business. You should also join skateboarding clubs in your area if they're available, and present your business at club meetings or skating events.

Leave flyers and business cards at sporting goods stores that sell skateboarding equipment. Ask the management if they are in need a of a skateboard distributor, and you may just land a major client.
