How to Find a Delaware LLC
Businesses that want to limit their members' personal liability can form a limited liability company. Forming an LLC creates privileges and liabilities. Limited liability companies in Delaware are required to register with the Delaware secretary of state's office.
If you want locate a specific LLC, use the database provided by the state. This tool is on the Division of Corporations page of the Delaware secretary of state's website.

Go to the website of the Delaware secretary of state's office (see Resources). Click on the link for Entity Search.

Input your search parameters. You can search by LLC name or file number.

Scroll through the results to find the matching LLC. The results show the LLC name and file number.

Click the name of the LLC to get the company's date of formation, registered agent information and residency information.

Select the option to obtain the status or specific information. A $10 fee is charged to obtain information on the LLC's current status. For a $20 fee you can request specific information on the LLC, including the current franchise tax assessment and filing history.
