How to Use a PDA Scanner

The tern PDA stands for Personal Data Assistant. PDA's are a popular choice to help with your everyday tasks. Bar code scanners are useful peripheral devices and can be used to log inventory by scanning bar codes located on products. Scanners are usually connected to your PDA via bluetooth remote connection. Using your bar code scanner can be achieved in about five minutes.

Instructions

      Power on both your bluetooth scanner and your PDA.

      Press the bonding button found on the side of your PDA scanner. This will activate the bluetooth connection and allow the scanner to be connected to your PDA.

      Select "Yes" or "Confirm" on your PDA when asked if you would like to connect wirelessly to your scanner.

      Point your scanner at the bar code. Your scanner will emit a red line which represents the area your scanner is attempting to read. Align the red line in the very center of the bar code. You will hear a beep when a bar code has been successfully read.
