Instructions

    • 1

Prep eyes by first applying concealer and powder to your lids. This helps eye makeup stay put as opposed to creasing from excess facial oils. Pat on concealer with your finger; then follow with a sweep of powder using either your finger or an eyeshadow brush. Blend well and brush away any loose powder that has fallen onto your eyelashes or cheeks.

Line lids with black liquid eyeliner. Liner can be used to make a "cat's eye" look. Use pencil black eyeliner below the bottom eyelashes and smudge. If you cannot master the tricky liquid eyeliner look, simply use the pencil eyeliner all the way around the eyes and smudge, creating a smoky eye look. Smudge eyeshadow with either your fingertip or a wet eyeshadow sponge brush.

Cover lids with a black or deep purple eyeshadow using an eyeshadow brush. Make sure the eyeshadow covers the entire lid and blend well.

Tips & Warnings

  • Complete your vampiress look by applying blood-red lipstick and foundation about a shade lighter than your natural skin tone.

  • Keep lashes separated by applying one or two coats of mascara, allow to dry, and then build on the dried mascara. It is often a good idea to use mascara that comes with a primer for easy separation of the lashes. This will result in less clumping.

  • Skip the bronzer or blush and paint nails with deep red or black nail polish.

  • Individual fangs can be purchased at Halloween or costume stores.

  • If you have sensitive skin, read all makeup product labels first to prevent allergy flare-ups. It is always a good idea to test makeup on your forearm and allowing it to sit for 15 to 20 minutes to check for allergic reactions.
