How to Make a Powerpoint Presentation Tutorial
PowerPoint is the presentation software included in the Microsoft Office package. You can create a slide show tutorial in PowerPoint to use for school presentations, trainings or meetings. Users can customize the existing slide templates with their own tutorial text, images, charts and media. When you first launch the PowerPoint software, you will begin creating your tutorial from a blank slide template.

-
-
3
Click "Insert" from the top toolbar and choose "New Slide" from the menu. This will create a new slide behind the title slide.
-
4
Choose a slide layout from the right frame. Some layouts will be only text, while others place holders for images, graphs or other media. Choose your slide layout based upon what you need to illustrate with each step in your tutorial.
-
5
Type in the topic of the tutorial's first step inside of the new slide's title text box. This title should be a short phrase that summarizes the step.
-
6
Use a bulleted list or short paragraph in the body of your slide to provide details about the tutorial's first step. Do not place more than five or six bullets on a slide as this can cause the information to look too cluttered and become difficult to read.
-
7
Add media content to help clarify your tutorial by choosing an icon from the "Click icon to add content box." If you choose to insert a picture, you will be able to browse your computer for the image file. If you choose to insert a table, graph or diagram, you will be prompted to fill in the information to create the content. If you choose to insert clip art or a media clip, you will be able to choose from an existing library of images or media.
-
8
Repeat the steps above to add new slides. Each slide should focus on a single step of the process until you have completed your PowerPoint tutorial.
-
9
Click "File" and choose "Save" to save your PowerPoint tutorial.
