How to Repair Mini Blinds
Repairing broken slats in a mini blind is straightforward as long as you have extra slats at the bottom of the blind to use as replacements. Working on the mini blind as it hangs in the window is easier to manage than laying it on a table and replacing the slats. Does this Spark an idea?

Remove the three button caps underneath the bottom rail. Use the pocket knife to pry up the cap. Underneath the cap is a cord. Untie the knot from the cord.

Pull the cord through the bottom rail and the slats until you reach the broken slat. Do this for each cord.

Pull the broken slat(s) out of the string supports from the left or the right side. Place a new slat in the space to replace the broken slat. Do this for each slat you removed.

Re-thread the cord through each slat, working your way to the bottom rail. Do this for each cord.

Push the cord through the hole in the bottom rail and tie it off. Use scissors to cut the cord if you have too much hanging out of the bottom. Place the button cap on the knot and press firmly into place. Do this for each cord and button.
