Roller coasters with their loops and turns and twists have long been high on the to-do list of thrill seekers. In fact, according to ultimaterollercoaster.com these cart rides with wheels have been around since the beginning of the 19th century. Instructions

    • 1

Set up an area for your roller coaster. Find a flat area on the counter or table top that can be used for creating a roller coaster. The area should be at least 2-feet by 2-feet large.

    • 2

Set up the supports for your roller coaster. Hometrainingtools.com recommends using books, woodblocks or chairs for the support of your roller coaster. You may also consider using plastic cups and taping them together. Set up the supports with the highest point at where you want the roller coaster to begin.

    • 3

Lay out the track of your roller coaster. Use plastic or rubber tubing (diameter of one-half inch or more) for the track of the roller coaster. Set up the tubing at the highest point, and make turns and loops until you're satisfied with your roller coaster.

    • 4

Secure the track against the supports. Once you have the track all set out, use masking or duct tape to secure it to the supports. Use tape to secure the supports to a solid surface as well.

    • 5

Test out the roller coaster using marbles. The marbles will show you if you need to make adjustments to your roller coaster. Make sure the marble can make it through the entire roller coaster without getting stuck.
