How to Make a Free Presentation on the Internet Using PowerPoint

A successful PowerPoint presentation can make all the difference in getting a contract, making a sale or getting a promotion. The popular computer slide show presentation software enables users to create slick presentations with eye-catching graphics. Home users can load their own images into the software and show friends all their holiday snaps. Using either a computer screen or a projector to display the presentation has meant that viewers had to be in the same room as the presentation. With the advent of free Web services that allow you to upload your presentation, anyone, anywhere can view your show.

Instructions

1. Create a PowerPoint presentation and save the file to the hard disk. Make sure the size of the file is less than 100 MB. To do this, right-click the file, select "Properties" and check the file size displayed in the Properties tab.

2. Create an account on SlideShare. It is free and only takes a few moments. You will need to have a valid email address to complete the account setup procedure.

3. Log in to your SlideShare account and select the "UPLOAD" tab. You will be directed to the upload page where you select the files you wish to upload to the SlideShare service. Files can be in PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, Open Office, Apple iWorks and PDF formats.

4. Click the "Browse and Select Files" button to locate the presentation you wish to upload. Highlight the file and click "Open" to upload the file. A progress counter will display how much of the file has been uploaded until finished. The file will then be converted to operate on the SlideShare service. While waiting, fill in details about your file and set the "Privacy" option as desired.

5. View your uploaded presentations by clicking on the "View Uploads" tab. Add contacts to your SlideShare profile from your email contacts list. You can then invite them to watch your presentation online. The presentation can also be posted on your Facebook account with the SlideShare Facebook Application.
