How to Make a Flowerpot from a Teacup
Planting your flowers in a tiny teacup is an excellent way to repurpose unused dishes. The teacup can perch on a windowsill, at a desk, on your kitchen table or even outside on your porch. No matter where you choose to place your teacup flower, you'll have discovered a new way of displaying both. You can purchase your teacup new or select one with a bit of vintage charm from an antique, thrift or resale shop. Does this Spark an idea?

Wash your teacup with a bit of soapy water. Rinse and then towel dry.

Fill your teacup with potting soil. Leave approximately 1 inch of room at the top if you're planting seeds and 3 inches if you're planting a seedling.

Create a 1/2-inch hole in the center of the potting soil with either a spoon or your finger. Place two to four seeds in the hole and cover them with soil. Alternatively, create a hole large enough to accommodate your seedling, place the seedling in the teacup and pack the soil around it.

Add about 1/4 cup water to the freshly planted seeds or seedling. Gently press down on the soil to pack it in, especially if you've planted a seedling. Press around the base of the plant to ensure it's supported.
