How to Run BIOS Flash in DOS
Performing a "flash," or replacement, of a BIOS file will add features to your computer's BIOS in addition to fixing bugs plaguing previous iterations of the BIOS software. Carry out this operation in DOS, as the BIOS cannot update when the operating system is currently running in many cases. Perform the flash with a boot disk and a disk containing your updated BIOS files.
