How to Set the Timing on a Kenmore 385 Sewing Machine

How to Set the Timing on a Kenmore 385 Sewing Machine thumbnail
Timing involves the hook, needle, and feed dogs.

In order for a sewing machine to properly execute tasks it is necessary that all of the machine parts work in harmony with each other. One slight error in the timing on the machine can cause the stitches to bunch up, which will then halt the movement of the fabric. Another common result of improper timing is stitching that will not form or stay in the fabric. Timing is essential to the successful completion of any sewing project performed with the use of a sewing machine.
