How to Make Car Window Decals
Car window decals are a great way to advertise your business, support your favorite sports team or just declare any message you want to broadcast to passersby. Paying a business to make custom car window decals can be expensive, but you can make your own for a comparatively low cost with a package of inkjet window decal sheets .
Things You'll Need

- Inkjet printer
- Image editing or word-processing program
Instructions

-
1
Create your design in a word-processing or image-editing program and save the file.
-
2
Select "Mirror" or "Reverse" in your printer set-up. This will make it display correctly when you peel and stick the decal on the inside of your window.
-
-
3
Print a test sheet on regular paper to make sure you have everything just right.
-
4
Select "Photo" or "Transparency" mode in your printer set-up. This will saturate the decal with more color, making it more visible when light shines through it.
-
5
Insert a decal sheet into your printer so that it will print on the clear side of the decal sheet. Click "Print." Let the ink on the decal sheet dry completely. The time will vary depending on the printer you use and the humidity in your area.
-
6
Cut the decal, if needed, to the desired size or shape.
-
7
Clean the glass where you will place your decal. Choose a spot inside your car or home window.
-
8
Peel the backing paper off of the decal sheet and apply the decal to the glass.
