Accidentally uninstalling Internet Explorer 5.0 will disable your ability to gain access to the Internet if you do not have another Web browser install. As of June 2010, the Internet Explorer 5.0 browser has been replaced by the 8.0 version. Although the newer version has more updated features, the 5.0 software is a better browser for late model computers with smaller hard drives and slower processor speeds.

      Turn on your computer and click the "Start" button located in the lower left hand corner on the bottom of your screen. Scroll through the list of icon until you come to "Internet" Click the "Internet" tab and wait for your Web browser to appear on the screen.

      Visit www.brothersoft.com/internet-explorer-download-220197.html. Scroll to the middle of the page and select the "Internet Explorer 5.0 download" icon. A security box will populate asking if you wish to download this program. Select "Yes" to continue the downloading process.

      Follow the prompts by clicking the "Next" button located on the bottom of the installer. Once the download has completed, click the "Finish" button to close the installer. Close any open browser and restart your computer. Once the computer powers back up, you should notice the Internet Explorer 5.0 browser icon located on your desktop.
