How to Customize Buttons for a Toolbar

You can customize toolbars in browsers like Firefox or in programs like Microsoft Word.

A toolbar is a long, horizontal bar that runs across either the top or the bottom of a program window. Web browsers like Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox and even productivity programs like Microsoft Office all have toolbars. If the default set of options in the toolbar isn't to your liking, you can customize these buttons by adding or removing options from them in just a couple of seconds.

Instructions

1. Open the program that has the toolbar you'd like to customize.

2. Right-click on the toolbar. Select the "Customize Toolbar" option.

3. Click on an option that you'd like to add to your toolbar and click the "Add" button. That option will be added to your toolbar.

4. Click on the option you'd like to remove from your toolbar and click the "Remove" button. That option will be removed from your toolbar.

5. Click "OK" to save your toolbar changes.
