The adult film industry is always on the look out for the next big star. Even if you are not complete star material, it is possible to participate in the industry and become an actor. Most female actors make anywhere from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars per scene, depending on what is required. Although it is usually not possible to have an extended career in the adult industry, as there is always someone newer and younger coming; it is a way to make a decent living for a few years.

Determine if you are comfortable with becoming an adult film actor. If you are not comfortable with performing sexual acts in front of individuals, this line of work is not for you.

Contact an adult talent agency. This is the best way to land gigs as the agencies are notified of the need for specific individuals.

Live in California. Most adult films are produced in the Los Angeles area. Living in the area gives you a leg up on the competition.

Start your own website if you don't live in the area. Often individuals start their own site which allows individuals to view images and videos of you when they subscribe to your service. If you are popular enough you may never need to leave your home and move to California.

Act professional when on set. Don't make fun of anyone, as this is the fastest way to get fired or placed on the "never hire again" list. Set limitations when on set for what you are willing and not willing to do. Just take into consideration the more you are willing to do the more money you may make.
