How to Be a Catwalk Model
First and foremost, to be a catwalk model, you must cultivate an attitude. Confidence is key. When you watch a fashion show, you'll notice that every model exudes confidence. Catwalk modeling is a combination of balance, poise and the ability to showcase fashion. Remember, as a model, you are the canvas for someone else's art. Great catwalk models accentuate fashion versus taking away from it. It is true you "better work it," but if the audience doesn't remember the clothes, you haven't done your job. Does this Spark an idea?

Setting Up Your Runway
-
1
Fold the twin sheets in half on the shorter end, to create long, thin sheets. Place the sheets in your hallway or room end to end to create a long "runway" area to walk on. Set your mirror at the end of your "runway" so that you can watch yourself work the catwalk.
-
2
Turn on the music and get ready to walk. First, without shoes, walk your runway, looking in the mirror and not down at your feet. Repeat your walk until you can do it without looking down.

Once you are able to walk your runway without looking down, do it again with shoes. Try different pairs to make sure that you can walk without tripping or stumbling. You should be comfortable in any pair.

Now, grab your jacket. Walk your runway, and when you get to the end, take the jacket off in one movement, throwing it over your shoulder. Turn on your heel and walk back. Once you master this move, you are ready for the real runway.
Perfecting Your Walk

Now that you have the technicalities, you must learn the pro moves. First, steady the eyes. Have some friends sit on your runway, and as you go down the catwalk, practice making eye contact.
-
6
Check your footwork. As you are walking, your feet should be like they are on a tightrope. One foot in front of the other is key. Keep the legs straight, and keep your walk as tight as you can.
-
7
When you've mastered your walk, work your smile! Or, lack thereof. Knowing the attitude of the audience is important to rocking the catwalk. If the music, clothes and audience are laid back, flash a smile. If it's serious, focus and use eye contact as a killer move.
