How to Setup an Army Cot
Army cots have been used in the military through many wars and operations, and are also a popular choice with campers. An army cot typically has three pairs of legs that cross like an "X" underneath the cot. The frame consists of two side rails that support the fabric sling and two end rails. Since the fabric of an army cot becomes very taut when assembled, it can be difficult to set up if you are unfamiliar with the process. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Unfold the legs and the side rails of your cot. The legs will likely be along one side of the cot.
-
2
Pull the two side rails apart until the fabric of the sling is taut.
-
-
3
Insert the end rails into the sleeves at each end of the cot.
-
4
Attach each end rail to the side rails. There are two holes on each end rail that snap into the side rails. Because they are in the fabric sleeves, it can be difficult to make the last attachment. A wooden lever such as a hammer handle can help pull the fabric enough to make the connection.
