How to Make a Mocha Body Butter Cream

- 2 oz., cocoa butter
- 2 oz., natural shea butter
- 3 teaspoons, apricot kernel oil
- 1 teaspoon, aloe vera gel
- 1/4 teaspoon, vitamin E.
- 1/4 teaspoon, chocolate fragrance oil
- 1/4 teaspoon, coffee fragrance oil
- 1/8 teaspoon, french vanilla fragrance oil

Place the cocoa butter and shea butter in a double boiler on low. Heat and stir until the butters are liquefied. Keep the mixture simmering for 20 minutes. Do not allow the butters to boil.

Pour butter into an electric mixer. Add the apricot kernel oil while the butter is still warm. Mix well. Allow the mixture to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.

Add the vitamin E and aloe vera gel to the mixer and mix thoroughly.

Pour fragrance oils, 1/4 teaspoon of chocolate, 1/4 teaspoon of coffee and 1/8 teaspoon of french vanilla, in a small bowl to combine. Add this to the mixer and mix until it is a mousse-like consistency.

Spoon the finished mocha body butter into containers 3/4 of the way full. Be sure the containers have tight fitting lids. Exposing the product to air can cause contamination.

Scoop body butter up with your fingers and massage into dry skin to use.

Tips & Warnings
Adding a little more aloe vera gel will achieve a softer consistency.
Open capsules of vitamin E for the oil.
Be sure to mix the butter long enough, if you skimp on time the butter may return to liquid form when cool.
