How to Get Rid of Pigmentation on the Face
Skin pigmentation causes the skin to change color. The skin gets its color from a substance called "melanin." If skin cells becomes damaged, the production of melanin becomes affected. Pigmentation can affect any area of the skin including the face. It may appear on the face as blotches or the complete face may become darker or lighter. Slice a large lemon in half and squeeze the juice in a container. Use a cotton ball to dip in the lemon juice. Rub the lemon juice in a circular motion on the affected area. Lemon has natural bleaching properties, which is effective in treating pigmentation of the face. The acidic content of lemons helps to exfoliate the top layer of the skin and will fade pigmentation over time.

Leave the lemon juice on your face 5 to 10 minutes until it is dried. Wash your face with lukewarm water, then splash with cool water to close the pores. Pat dry your face with a face towel. For best results, repeat this at least 2 to 3 times per week.

Use an SPF 30 sunscreen to protect your skin from excessive sun exposure. If skin is exposed to the UV rays from sun for too long, treatment for pigmentation will not be effective. Use makeup and powder that contains UV protection.

Tips & Warnings
Use pureed raw white potato to apply to the face to eliminate pigmentation of the face.
Avoid applying treatment to normal areas of the skin, to prevent an uneven tone.
