An easy endeavor for even the novice seamstress, making silk hair wraps offers you the ability to make your haircare regimen even craftier.

Instructions

1
Spread a 24x24-inch square of fabric in front of you on a flat surface. Make sure to ease out any wrinkles in the fabric.
-
2
Squeeze a thin line of maximum-strength fabric glue along each edge of the square of silk fabric.
-
-
3
Fold in each edge of the fabric about a quarter of an inch. Smooth the edges as you press the fold. This creates a hemmed edge without the need for a needle and thread.
-
4
Give the fabric square about 15 minutes to dry and set.
-
5
Spread the fabric out before you with the exposed glued side facing upward. Cut a thin slit about an inch long, diagonally, in the bottom right-hand corner of the fabric.
-
6
Squeeze a very thin line of fabric glue around the edges of the slit.
-
7
Fold the edges of the slit inward no more than an eighth of an inch. This creates a very small hemmed slit within the corner of the fabric. Let the fabric square dry for another hour before using it.

Tips & Warnings
The silk hair wrap wraps around your head, encasing your hair, in a variety of ways. Once it is wrapped, one end of the fabric is pulled through the thin slit to secure it.
