How to Apply Flawless Eyeliner
Eyeliner is a common cosmetic used to enhance and frame the eyes, as well as darken up the lash line. It also is one of the trickier cosmetics to use, since it looks nice only if it is evenly applied and in a straight line. There are two types of eyeliner--liquid and pencil. Pencil eyeliner often is used to create a softer or smoky eye, while the liquid is used for a dramatic look. As with any cosmetic, the more you use it the better you will get at applying flawless eyeliner to the eyes. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Apply liquid eyeliner directly above your lash line. To keep the line flawless, start in the center of the eye over the iris. Draw a series of dots directly over the lash line all the way to the outside corner of the eye. With the liner brush, connect the dots with small brush strokes until it creates a solid line.

2
Draw a line with a pencil if you have trouble keeping your hand steady. Start at the center of the eye, and draw feathered strokes out to the corner of the eye directly above the lash line.

Tips & Warnings
Follow the curve of your eyelid for a flawless and natural look.
Don't add liquid eyeliner to the lower lids--it will look too severe. Pencil eyeliner is softer and may be smudged for a smoky look.
