Instructions

      Raise the lid of your Black and Decker Automatic Bread Maker. Grab the baking pan handle inside, and turn the handle to the unlock position. Lift the baking pan from the machine.

      Align the flat side of the mixing paddle with the flat side of the shaft inside the baking pan. Attach the paddle to the shaft.

      Add your carefully measured ingredients to the baking pan. Black and Decker recommends always adding ingredients into the baking pan in the same order they're listed.

      Align the notches on the side of the baking pan with those inside the Black and Decker bread maker chamber. Lower the basket in place. Once in, rotate the baking pan clockwise to lock it in place.

      Close the lid of your bread maker, and plug it in.

      Press the "Bread Type" button to choose the type of bread you're baking. Each time you press the button, the indicator arrow will point to a different bread type on the display screen.

      Press the Crust Color button when making a recipe that calls for Basic, Rapid Bake or Sweet Bread settings. Choose either Regular or Dark crust.

      Press the "Start/Reset" button. The red indicator light will come on. The bread machine will begin counting down from 3 hours and 50 minutes.

      Wait for the bread to finish. When baking is complete, the Black and Decker Automatic Bread Maker will beep several times. The figure "12:00 AM" will flash on the display screen.

      Lift the lid. Using oven mitts to protect your hands, turn the baking pan handle to the left and lift the pan from the machine.

      Lay the baking pan on its side, and carefully shake the bread from the pan. Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack.
