If you are unhappy with your job or want to advance your career, you may want to develop a career plan. A career plan allows you to focus your dissatisfaction and ambitions in a positive way. Evaluate where you are now and where you would like to be in the short and long term. Write down the qualifications you will need to advance in your selected career path based on your research. Establish a timeline with specific goals to achieve. Be realistic about your current situation and set modest goals that are achievable with hard work and focus.
