How can I Check My Domain Name?
All domain names are registered with domain registrars. Whois, established by a group named Regional Internet Registries (RIR), is the protocol used for posting domain name queries to name servers on the Internet. By performing a Whois search, you can get details and contact information for any domain name or active IP address. Whois searches are free to use and all domain name registrars provide some form of a domain name search application. Navigate to the Whois.net domain name search tool (See Resources).

Type the domain name to check in the "Whois Lookup" input box.

Click the "Go" button. The results will display on the following page. Details listed for the domain name include owner name and contact information, registrar and name servers.
