Steam opens your pores to allow impurities to be taken out. Fill a small saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Place the saucepan on a cloth on a table and, with a towel draped over the front of your head, lean over and let the steam open your pores. The towel will serve to trap the steam. Steam your face for five to 10 minutes.

Examine your face in a mirror to locate the blackheads. Examine your skin with a mirror to find the blackheads you need to remove from your nose. Place the loop end of the comedone extractor over the blackhead and lightly press until you feel pressure but not pain. Keep your pores open by periodically placing a warm moist washcloth over your face and wiping away the blackhead material. This extraction procedure may need to be done several times until the entire blackhead is removed.

Acne masks contain ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, which destroys bacteria. Apply a gentle acne mask. This will help draw out more impurities from not just your nose but also your entire face. Wash away the mask with a warm, wet washcloth and pat your face dry with a soft towel. Apply a low concentration of benzoyl peroxide or an antiseptic to prevent infection.
