How to Curl Kinky Twist Hair

A kinky twist hairstyle can be done at home.

It does not require any advanced knowledge of professional hair styling techniques or professional tools. A kinky twist is an attractive simple braid that can be used on any length hair. It will help increase the length of a short hairstyle in a few minutes.

Things You'll Need

• Comb
• Hair clip
• Hair moisturizer
• Hair gel
• Small rod
• Hot water

Instructions

1. Divide the hair in half from back to front using a comb. Split each of these sections in half from ear to ear and secure them with a clip. There are four sections total.

2. Part the back right section of hair into two small squares.

3. Add moisturizer and hair gel to the two strands of hair. This will help secure the twist.

4. Braid the hair half an inch down using the two stands and the hair extension.

5. Twist the hair together to finish the braid.

6. Roll a small rod at the end of the kinky twist. Dip the rod and curl in hot water and let it dry. Remove the rod from the curl. Repeat steps 2 to 6 until the entire hair has been kinky twisted and curled.
