How to Make Flash Movies With SWiSH

The lightweight size of the Flash format makes Flash great for web distribution or integration into a presentation. With the help of SwiSH Zone's SWiSH Max Flash creation utility, you can create your own Flash movies. And with a little insight on SWiSH Max's tools and protocols, you can avoid wasting time tinkering with the tools and start making high quality Flash movies quickly.

Instructions

      Download and install a copy of SWiSH Max (see Resources).

      Launch SWiSH Max. The "New Movie or Project" menu will open ahead of the program's main menu. Select a template from the menu.

      Add shapes to your template using the tools located on the left side of the program. Use the "Ellipse," "Rectangular" and "Auto-Shape" tools to create a base for your object. Use the pen and pencil tools to add details to your object.

      Click on the "Insert" heading at the top of the program and use the options, such as "Import Video" and "Import Image," to add media from your computer.

      Click on the "Selection" tool and then click on an object on your template. Click on the "Add Effect" button, located in the top left corner of the program, and choose and effect from the drop-down menu that appear. The effects you apply to objects will only apply for the first scene.

      Click on the "Insert" heading and select the "Add Scene" option from its sub-menu to add another scene to your project. To maintain the alignment of your objects from one scene to the next, copy an paste the scene into the time line.

      Save your work (File> Save), and then export your project into an animation file (File> Export).
