A digital wedding album captures the special moments of your big day.

A wedding is an occasion worth sharing with friends and family, even if everyone can't make it to your nuptials. Photograph all the special emotions of the day, from the walk down the aisle, to the vows and reception, and put those images in a digital photo album. The process is simple, and the album is a fun and lasting keepsake.

Obtain digital copies of your wedding photos from your photographer. Many photographers post wedding images online at a personalized website for the bride and groom, so gaining a CD or disc is possible. If your photographer does not have this option, the physical copies of the images will work just as well for this project.

If you have a CD or disc containing your wedding photographs, place it in your computer's proper drive and load it onto your computer.
If you did not obtain a photo CD from your photographer, scan in the photos you want to include in your album. Be sure to save the scanned images in a folder on your desktop for easy access.

Once PowerPoint is open, click on "Insert." Under "Insert," locate the photo album option located on the left. Under this option, there is a "Create New Album" option; click on this. A pop-up window will appear, titled "Photo Album," which will assist you in creating your album.

Select "File/Disk" on the upper left-hand side of the pop-up menu. Another pop-up will appear on your screen that will prompt you to select the location of your photos. Open this location.

Move your cursor over to "Send To," and choose "Disc Creator (Photo)" option. Click this option to begin burning the album to your CD. Tips & Warnings

  • You can burn multiple copies of your digital wedding album either at home or at a photo department at a chain drugstore to send to friends or family.

  • Be sure to save your album often while creating it. If PowerPoint crashes or your computer freezes, your album's progress will be saved.
