How to Convert SWF to FLV Open Source
Although the SWF file format is a Shockwave Flash file, it is not always compatible with video players that use the FLV Flash file. Because of this you may often find the need convert the SWF file to FLV. Adobe Flash is the obvious choice, as it is used to create the files, but if you don't have the program there are a few alternatives.

Open Adobe Flash, click "File," "Open" and then choose the SWF file you want to convert. Wait for the file to load onto the screen. Select "File," "Save As" and a Save window appears on the screen. Title the video file, choose a location to save it to and then click the format pull-down options menu at the bottom of the screen. Select FLV and click "OK." The SWF file now converts over to the FLV file format.

Download and install the Moyea SWF4Tube file converter onto your computer. Launch the program, then click "Browse" next to the input file bar. Choose the SWF file you want to convert and click "OK." Click the "Export" tab and choose a location into which to save the file. Click "Convert," then choose "Start" and the video file converts out to the FLV file format.

Download and install the .SWF to .FLV Converter. Launch the program, then choose "Add Files" and select the SWF file you want to convert. Choose a location to save the file to and click "Convert." The SWF file now converts over to the FLV Flash format.
