How to Refill Ink Cartidge in an Epson T0603
The Epson T0603 cartridge stores the magenta ink for Epson color printers. Like many other printer cartridges, Epson T0603 ink cartridges don't necessarily need to be thrown away when they run low on ink. Instead, you can refill an empty ink cartridge, saving on waste and saving you money. If you want to refill your cartridge, you must have the proper magenta ink for the printer, which can be found online or in an office supply store.

1
Turn the Epson T0603 cartridge upside down on a covered surface. Place a piece of tape over the feed hole, which is the hole that sits alone and is elevated off the surface of the cartridge.
-
2
Place the needle on the tip of the syringe and turn it to lock it into place. Dip the tip of the needle into the ink bottle and slowly pull back on the plunger until the syringe is full.

3
Stick the needle into the fill hole on the Epson T0603 cartridge. The fill hole is the hole that is directly beside the feed hole that you covered. Make sure the needle is inserted about 3/4 of an inch into the fill hole.
-
4
Push the plunger on the syringe slowly until all of the ink is emptied into the cartridge. Leave the cartridge sitting upside down for approximately 30 minutes to allow all of the ink to be absorbed into the ink sponge in the cartridge.
-
5
Fill the syringe with ink a second time and insert the needle of the syringe into the fill hole of the cartridge. Slowly press the plunger to empty the ink into the cartridge. Stop filling if ink droplets appear around the fill hole.
-
6
Wipe any ink away from the fill hole of the cartridge. Place a piece of tape over the hole and allow the cartridge to rest for 30 more minutes.
-
7
Turn the cartridge over to ensure that the ink is not leaking from either the feed or fill hole on the bottom of the cartridge. If any ink drips on the tape, turn the cartridge back over and replace the tape. Allow the cartridge to sit for 30 more minutes before turning it upright and checking again for leaks.
-
8
Continue to replace the tape until all leaks stop. If the cartridge never stops leaking, throw the cartridge out and replace it with a new cartridge to prevent damage to your printer.
